Peter Fauser
Peter Fauser (* 1948 ) was Professor of School Education and School Development at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena .
After the teaching post for elementary and secondary schools (music and mathematics) as well as a diploma course in educational science followed doctorate and habilitation at the University of Tübingen . Fauser is the scientific director of the competition funding program for democratic action , the development program for teaching and learning quality and initiator of Imaginata in Jena.
His main interest is education for democracy in schools, less through specialist content than through democratic structural changes and participation of the students in a living democracy.
Fauser is a board member of the Academy for Educational Reform and was spokesman for the jury of the German School Prize from 2006 to 2010 . Fauser left the editorial board of the Neue Sammlung magazine in 2002 when Gerold Becker was appointed to the committee.
