Peter Galsai (born January 28, 1948 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian bar pianist , composer , arranger and author .

Life

Peter Galsai grew up in a family of musicians. After training in Solfeggio, he began taking piano lessons at the age of six. After primary school he attended the Music Conservatory and then went on to study at the Budapest Music Academy. In the course of his training, he has always played live at various events. He received his first permanent engagement in Vienna in the Lohengrin restaurant and the Stardust bar. From 1979 to 1992 he was a bar pianist in the Eden Bar in Vienna, where he played with Fausto Mola, among others. This was followed by engagements in the Vienna Broadway Bar and in the Grand Hotel Vienna. Peter Galsai now works as a bar pianist in Vienna and is featured on the compilation series Wiener Bar Pianisten .

In 2008 his first compositions appeared in the sheet music book The Passion Of Barmusik . Further compositions are published in the music books Wiener Bar Pianisten . In 2013 the book The Professional Barpiano Study was published, which Galsai had developed together with Reinhard Wallner .
