Peter Genßler

Peter Genßler (* 1957 in Nordhausen ) is a German painter , graphic artist and sculptor . He created sculptures in public spaces in Nordhausen and Neustadt, copper engravings in the town hall and in the Bürgerhof in Bleicherode, as well as watercolors and acrylic paintings in public institutions.

Life 

From 1978 onwards, Genßler studied commercial graphics at the Berlin Art Academy , which he broke off after the 4th semester. In 1980 he began studying painting / graphics at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts in Gerhard Kettner's class . In 1983 he switched to the sculpting class of Helmut Heinze . In 1986 he received a diploma as a sculptor and began his work as a freelance artist in Sternebeck near Berlin. 1995 Genßler became a master student of Heinze at the HfBK Dresden. He has been running his own workshop for graphic arts, ceramics, wood and stone carving in Nordhausen since 1996. From 2005 Genßler has a studio in Bleicherode.
