Peter Grønvold Samuelsen

Peter Grønvold Samuelsen (* 1960 in Qasigiannguit ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Siumut ), entrepreneur and teacher .

Life

Peter Grønvold Samuelsen studied at the University of Greenland until 1987 . He is a co-founder of the Siumut youth association. In 1991 he was elected to the Inatsisartut . From 1992 to 1995 he was chairman of the Pilersuisoq retail chain . In 1995 he was re-elected to parliament and was also Minister for Acquisitions, Transport and Supply in the Johansen II cabinet and the Motzfeldt VI cabinet . From 1999 to 2007 he was Chairman of the Board of Air Greenland and from 1999 to 2008 Director of the SISA pension fund . From 2000 to 2003 he also worked as a teacher in his hometown. From 2007 to 2010 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors at Royal Greenland and from 2008 to 2014 Energy Director at Polaroil . In 2013 he became acting director at KNI and has been there since June 2014.
