Peter Hörnig

Peter Hörnig (born August 6, 1976 in Meiningen ) is a German canoeist .

The canoe racer of the KC Potsdam won in 1999 at the military world championships in single canoe over 500 and 1000 m and at the student world championships in 2002 over 1000 m.

In 2004 he could not qualify for the Olympic Games in Athens as the winner of the national qualification in Canadier, because he lost to Andreas Dittmer in the international elimination over 500 and 1000 m .

At the 2005 World Championships , however, he made the jump to the national team. Here he took 8th place in the single canoe over 200 m.

He then ended his international career, but was again German champion in the four-man canoe in 2006 .
