Fanny Fischer (born September 7, 1986 in Potsdam ), married Fanny Rauhe , is a German canoeist . In 2008 she became Olympic champion in canoe racing .

The KC Potsdam canoe racer won the bronze medal in the two-man kayak over 200 m at the 2005 World Championships . At the Canoe World Championships 2007 in Duisburg she was able to win gold in two with Nicole Reinhardt over two distances. In 2008 she qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing , where she competed in two and four-person kayaks . In the four over the 500 meter distance she won the gold medal with Nicole Reinhardt, Katrin Wagner-Augustin and Conny Waßmuth , in the two with Reinhardt she finished fourth.

For winning the gold medal, she received the silver laurel leaf from Federal President Köhler on November 21, 2008.

After announcing a break from competition in May 2011, on her 25th birthday she announced her retirement from competitive sports in a press release in order to devote herself fully to her studies in sports therapy and prevention . After completing her studies, she works in the marketing department of AOK Nordost ("Sports Ambassador").

Fanny Fischer is the daughter of the Olympic swimming champion Sarina Hülsenbeck and the four-time canoe world champion Frank Fischer and the niece of the eight-time Olympic canoeing champion Birgit Fischer .

She has lived with the Olympic canoeing champion and world champion Ronald Rauhe since 2008 , married him in 2015 and has two sons with him (* 2014 and 2016).
