In Germany, sports therapy is also offered as a minor in the sports science course - movement-related health promotion at the University of Freiburg . The professional title of sports therapist has not yet been recognized (as of 2009). It is carried out by sports scientists, physiotherapists with additional qualifications (sports physiotherapists) or sports teachers with additional training in the medical field.
