Peter Habermehl

Peter Habermehl (* 1955 ) is a German classical philologist .

Life

In 1990 he was at the Free University of Berlin with a thesis on Passio et Sanctarum Perpetuae Felicitatis doctorate . He worked at the Center for Basic Research in the Old World of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences under the direction of Christoph Markschies on the edition project The Greek Christian Writers of the First Centuries . He is currently the language lecturer for Latin at the Department of Church History of the Theological Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin .

His work focuses on the novel in antiquity, the Christian literature of late antiquity, and the reception of antiquity in contemporary German-language literature.
