Hypomnemata. Investigations on antiquity and its afterlife is a series of scientific publications from the field of classical antiquity .

In the series, which was founded in 1962 by Albrecht Dihle , Hartmut Erbse , Wolf-Hartmut Friedrich , Christian Habicht (until 1996) and Bruno Snell , mainly monographs with ancient philological and historical content appear. Particular importance is attached to the reception of antiquity within the series . More than 200 individual volumes have been published since 1962. The predominant language of publication is German, but it is not uncommon for works in English, occasionally also works in Italian, French and Spanish, to appear.

The series is currently being edited by Ewen Bowie , Albrecht Dihle , Siegmar Döpp , Dorothea Frede , Hans-Joachim Gehrke , Günther Patzig , Karla Pollmann , Christoph Riedweg and Gisela Striker . In addition to the regular series, there has also been a supplement series since 2001. The series is published by the Göttingen publishing house Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht . The majority of the series consists of dissertations and habilitation theses . The authors include Bruno Snell, Klaus Bringmann , Bernd Seidensticker , Christian Habicht, Glenn W. Most , Bernhard Zimmermann , Hartmut Leppin , Rene Pfeilschifter and Mischa Meier .
