Spudasmata - Studies on Classical Philology and its Border Areas is a series of scientific publications from the field of Classical Classical Studies.
In the of Hildebrecht Hommel and Ernst Zinn in 1965 founded series are mainly monographs, collections of articles, fixed and commemorative writings in the field of classical philology , but also their peripheral areas and not least the reception and the History of Science published. More than a third of the volumes in this series are university papers : dissertations . The series is published today by Irmgard Männlein-Robert and Anja Wolkenhauer . It is published by Georg Olms Verlag . Almost 180 volumes had been published by 2019. In addition to German, English, French and Italian are also common languages of publication.
The authors and editors of the series include Michael von Albrecht , Kai Brodersen , William M. Calder III , Hubert Cancik , Manfred Clauss , Raban von Haehling , Gottfried Kiefner , Richard Klein , Ulrich Köpf , Werner Krenkel , Christiane Kunst , Manfred Landfester , Wilfried Nippel , Bernd Seidensticker , Holger Sonnabend , Hermann Strasburger and Ernst Zinn. A transcript of an Iliad lecture from the winter semester 1887/88 by Ulrich von Wilamowitz-Moellendorff and an edition of the Consul epigrams (volume 60) also appeared in the series.
