Theodard Leitz
Theodard Leitz OFM (born May 8, 1915 in Karlsruhe - Rüppurr ; † February 27, 1999 in Sigmaringen ) was Bishop of Dourados .
Life
Theodard Leitz joined the order of the Franciscans ( order province of Thuringia ) and received the sacrament of priestly ordination on June 30, 1940 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on November 27, 1970 . to the Bishop of Dourados. The Archbishop of Freiburg , Hermann Schäufele , donated him episcopal ordination on February 13, 1971 ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Freiburg, Karl Gnädinger , and the auxiliary bishop in Rottenburg , Anton Herre .
On May 12, 1990, Pope John Paul II accepted Theodard Leitz's request for resignation due to reasons of age.
