The diocese of Dourados ( lat. : Dioecesis Auratopolitanus ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Dourados in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul .

history

The diocese of Dourados was on June 15, 1957 by Pope Pius XII. Erected from the cession of territory by the Corumbá diocese . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Campo Grande as a suffragan . On June 1, 2011, the Diocese of Dourados gave up parts of its territory to establish the Diocese of Naviraí .
