The Diocese of Corumba ( lat. : Dioecesis Corumbensis ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Corumbá in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul .
history
The diocese of Corumbá was established on March 10, 1910 by Pope Pius X. from cession of territory to the archdiocese of Cuiabá and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On June 15, 1957, the diocese of Corumbá gave up parts of its territory to establish the dioceses of Campo Grande and Dourados . The diocese of Corumbá was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Campo Grande as a suffragan on November 27, 1978. On January 30, 1981, the Corumbá diocese gave up parts of its territory to establish the Jardim diocese .
