The Diocese of Bragança Paulista ( Latin Dioecesis Brigantiensis in Brazilia , Portuguese Diocese de Braganca Paulista ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Bragança Paulista in the state of São Paulo .

history

The diocese of Bragança Paulista was founded on July 24, 1925 by Pope Pius XI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Ad sacram Petri Sedem from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of São Paulo and the Diocese of Campinas . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of São Paulo as a suffragan . On April 19, 1958, the diocese of Bragança Paulista was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Campinas as a suffragan.
