Rolf Neidhart

Rolf Neidhart (born December 22, 1944 in Bell , Germany ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and a ministerial official. Neidhart was a member of the National Council from 1987 to 1990 .

After elementary school, Neidhart attended a federal high school in Vienna and passed the Matura in 1962. He then studied law and political science at the University of Vienna and received his doctorate in 1968. After his legal practice in Gänserndorf, Melk and Vienna, he joined the Federal Ministry of Transport and Nationalized Enterprises in 1970 and from 1984 worked for the Supreme Civil Aviation Authority, where he was one of the heads of the Aircraft Accident Commission and head of the legal and organizational department in the Presidium of the Federal Ministry for Traffic was. He was also the safety officer and chairman of the commission for the company suggestion scheme. Neidhart was appointed senior councilor in 1983.

Neidhart started his political career between 1972 and 1975 as the district chairman of the young generation in the Gänserndorf district. From 1975 he was a local councilor in Strasshof an der Nordbahn before he was elected mayor in 1987. In addition, Neidhart was from 1974 SPÖ local party chairman and from 1979 member of the SPÖ district party executive. He represented the SPÖ in the National Council from December 1, 1987 to November 4, 1990.
