Redovino Rizzardo

Redovino Rizzardo CS (born April 12, 1939 in Piazza Brembana , Bergamo province , Italy ; † November 6, 2016 in Dourados ) was an Italian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Dourados .

Life

Redovino Rizzardo joined the order of the Scalabrini Missionaries and was ordained a priest on July 9, 1967 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Dourados on January 3, 2001 . The episcopal ordination donated him the Bishop of Dourados, Albert Först OCarm , on March 25th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Pedro Ercílio Simon , Bishop of Passo Fundo , and Laurindo Guizzardi CS, Bishop of Bagé .

With Albert Först's retirement from OCarm, he succeeded him on December 5th of the same year in the office of Bishop of Dourados.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on October 21, 2015.
