Peter Hamel (politician)

Peter Hamel (born April 12, 1915 in Lüdenscheid ; † March 5, 1992 ) was a German SPD politician .

Peter Hamel attended elementary school and grammar school up to upper secondary level. Hamel was the company owner.

politics

Peter Hamel was a member of the SPD from 1947. He was the deputy chairman of the self-employed working group in the SPD in North Rhine-Westphalia. Since 1956 he was a member of the city council of Lüdenscheid and from 1964 to 1969 also mayor (representative of the mayor) of the city. From 1965 he also acted as parliamentary group leader of the SPD in the city council. In 1969 he became a member of the Lüdenscheid district council and also chairman of the parliamentary group here.

From July 26, 1970 to May 27, 1975, Peter Hamel was a directly elected member of the 7th State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 129 Lüdenscheid - Altena-Land II.
