Peter Hebeisen

Peter Hebeisen (* 1956 in Bern , Switzerland ) is a Swiss photographer and book author .

Life

After graduating from high school, Hebeisen went to study French literature in 1976 and 1977 at the Sorbonne in Paris . In 1977/1978 he studied English literature at the University of Westminster in London and at the same time was apprenticed to a violin maker. From 1979 to 1981 he traveled through North and South America. He then completed an apprenticeship as a photographer from 1981 to 1984 and attended the Bern School of Applied Arts before working as an assistant for various photographers in Zurich , Paris and Milan for two years . In 1986 he founded his own studio in Zurich, which specialized in fashion photography for ten years and later worked for the advertising industry. In addition, Hebeisen dealt with topics such as migration in Europe or European battlefields of the 20th century.
