Peter Heinrich (psychologist)

Peter Heinrich (* 1941 in Königsfeld in the Black Forest ) is a retired professor of psychology at the former University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice in Berlin (now Berlin School of Economics and Law ), of which he was rector from 1999 to 2007. His specialty is social psychology with a focus on organizational and administrative psychology , bureaucratic socialization, human resource management and language ( administrative language ).

Academic and professional career

After attending the Zinzendorf grammar school (humanistic branch) in Königsfeld, Peter Heinrich studied law from 1960 to 1966, first in law, then in psychology in Heidelberg, Vienna and Berlin, from which he graduated in 1966 with a diploma in psychology. He then took up an assistant position at the Institute for Psychology at the TU Berlin from 1967 to 1974, where he obtained his doctorate in 1972. phil. in the field of social psychology.

Since 1974 Peter Heinrich has been professor of social psychology at FB 1 of the FHVR Berlin (now HWR Berlin ) and was elected first from 1985 to 1986 as vice dean and then until 1995 as dean of the department. From 1999 to 2007 he headed the FHVR Berlin as its rector.
