Peter Hilsch

Peter Hilsch (born July 13, 1938 in Warnsdorf , Czechoslovakia ) is a German historian who is particularly concerned with the history of the Bohemian lands in the Middle Ages.

Hilsch studied history, geography and Latin at the University of Tübingen . In 1966 he received his doctorate from the University of Tübingen. phil. doctorate and began teaching there in 1967 at the Seminar for Medieval History. In 2000 the habilitation also took place at the University of Tübingen. Hilsch wrote, among other things, a biography about Johannes Hus and a textbook for the study of medieval history, which has now been published in its 4th edition and, according to the review by Robert Gramsch, has a "firm place in basic academic teaching".
