Peter Martin Hoekstra (born April 4, 1973 in Assen ) is a former Dutch football player .
Hoekstra started his career in PSV Eindhoven's youth . In 1991 he made his debut in professional football at the league game PSV Eindhoven against FC Utrecht . In 1992 he won the Dutch championship with PSV Eindhoven , in 1996 and 1998 he was successful with Ajax Amsterdam.
The striker completed a total of five full international matches for the Dutch national team . Hoekstra was in the Dutch squad for the 1996 European Championship and was used there twice.
In 2004 Peter Hoekstra ended his football career.
In the 2008/09 season he worked as a youth coach for FC Groningen .
