Peter Kolin

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peter Kolin ( first mentioned in 1412 ; † July 30, 1422 in Arbedo ) was a Swiss Obervogt , Pannerherr and Ammann .

Life

Kolin was the son of Adelheid and Heinrich Weiss, came from Zug and married Katharina Zenagel. In 1412 he became chief bailiff in the district of Cham bailiwick . From 1414 at the latest he was Pannerherr and from 1414 to 1422 he was Ammann of the Zug estate. Kolin died like his brother Rudolf in the battle of Arbedo in the fight for the Zuger Panner, who was finally rescued by Jeckli Landtwing , and thus became the Zug war hero par excellence. His election as Ammann in 1414 stands for the Zugerische emancipation from tutelage by the federal places, which for decades had designated non-Zugers as Ammann.
