Peter McNamara Achievement Award
The Peter McNamara Achievement Award is a literary prize that has been given annually to personalities in Australian science fiction since 2002 .
The award ceremony takes place during the Australian National Science Fiction Convention . The award honors the memory of the publisher and Aphelion editor Peter McNamara and goes back to an initiative of Robert N. Stephenson, who was responsible for the organization and funding before McNamara's widow Mariann McNamara took over the duties.
The award is not to be confused with the similarly named Peter McNamara Convenors' Award , which is presented as part of the Aurealis Awards .
