Garth Nix
Garth Nix (born July 19, 1963 in Melbourne ) is an Australian author. He was best known for his fantasy novels in the series The Old Kingdom .
Life
Garth Nix was born in Melbourne. When he was a year old, his parents moved him and his brother to Canberra , where he also grew up. He studied at the University of Canberra , where he graduated in 1986. He then worked as a bookseller and publisher, among other things.
Garth Nix's first short story, entitled Sam, Cars and Cuckoo , was published in 1984. In 1990 his first novel The Ragwitch was published . His books have sold more than 4.5 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 36 languages.
For the novel Frogkisser! He was awarded the Mythopoeic Award in the Children's Literature category in 2018 .
Garth Nix now lives in a suburb of Sydney with his wife Anna and their two sons.
