Peter Merot

Peter Merot (born August 31, 1848 in Fentsch ; † after 1907) was a brewery owner, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Merot attended the high school in Diedenhofen (Collège de Thionville). He was a member of the district assembly since April 28, 1889, a member of the state committee and mayor of Fentsch since January 1, 1897.

From 1898 to 1907 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Reichsland Elsaß-Lothringen 13 ( Bolchen , Diedenhofen ). Merot was a member of the Alsace-Lorraine Protest Party.
