Peter Prestel

Peter Prestel (born December 22, 1962 in Kempten ) is a German documentary filmmaker , author , director and film producer .

Life

Prestel, a graduate of the University of Television and Film in Munich, as an author, director and producer with his film production company Peter Prestel Filmproduktion has made more than 200 films with a thematic focus in the areas of science, culture, history and archeology for public broadcasters . These include several episodes of primetime -Sendereihen Schliemann's heirs and Terra X . Together with Gisela Graichen, he developed the Internet TV format " DFG Science TV " in 2007 and has since designed several projects for communicating science on the Internet. In 2007, Peter Prestel was one of the journalist award winners of the German Prize for Monument Protection . The prize is intended to honor exemplary reporting in the field of cultural heritage protection and maintenance.
