Peter Riede

Peter Riede (* 1960 in Bad Neustadt an der Saale ) is a Protestant theologian .

Life

After studying Protestant theology in Tübingen , Bern and Heidelberg , he completed the vicariate in 1987/1988 . From 1988 to 1992 he was active in the pastoral ministry in Karlsruhe and Heidelberg. From 1992 to 1995 he was a research assistant in the Old Testament department at Heidelberg University . from 1995 to 1997 he was research assistant and since 1997 seminar assistant at the Protestant Theol. Faculty of the University of Tübingen . From 1995 to 2001 he was also the deputy head of the Tübingen research project "The animal and plant world of the Bible". After receiving his doctorate in 1998 and his habilitation in 2005, he was appointed adjunct professor in 2008. From 2009 to 2014 he was a pastor in the Kraichgau church district . From June 1, 2014 he will head the Theological Training and Examination Office of the Evangelical Church in Baden .

His main research interests are psalm research, prophecy, especially dodecapropheton, anthropology, metaphor, creation theology and the animal and plant world of the Bible.
