Peter Schorning
Peter Schorning (born July 16, 1947 in Essen ) is a German swimmer and Olympic participant. He is 1.86 m tall and weighed 89 kg during his playing days.
Schorning is a teacher for sports and biology . In addition, he works as a trainer. From 1973 he worked for the Bottrop Swimming Association in 1924 . From 2012 to summer 2018 he was head coach of SG Mülheim and from 2018 to September 2019 head coach of SG Oberhausen.
Olympic participation
Schorning took part in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City .
- He failed over 100 m freestyle in the preliminary run.
- The 4 × 100 m freestyle relay , for which he was the starting swimmer (cast: Peter Schorning, Wolfgang Kremer , Olaf von Schilling and Hans Fassnacht ), came in 6th place in 3: 39.0 minutes (gold went to the USA in the world record time of 3: 31.7 min.)
