Peter Tallberg

Peter Julius Tallberg (born July 15, 1937 in Helsinki ; † May 16, 2015 there ) was a Finnish sailor .

Life

Tallberg participated as a sailor for Finland in the Summer Olympics in 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972 and 1980. From 1976 until his death in May 2015, he was a member of the International Olympic Committee . Most recently, after the Russian politician Vitaly Smirnov, he was the longest-serving member of the IOC committee.
