Peter Thole (* 1957 ) is a German university professor and mechanical engineer .

Life

Thole studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University (diploma) and at Imperial College London (Management Science) from 1978 to 1984 . As an external doctoral student , he received his doctorate in 1997 as Dr.-Ing. at the RWTH Aachen at the chair of Dieter Stoll with a dissertation on the topic "Development of a project information system for planning, approval and realization of landfills as an instrument of project management". Between 1984 and 1990 he worked in various positions as a project and department manager in industry. a. at Thyssen Industry AG. Thole has been a professor at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences since 1988, and has been a professor in the industrial engineering department at the Faculty of Economics since 1990. At the same time, from 2000 to 2016, he headed the Steinbeis Transfer Center "Technology and Organization", Vaihingen / Enz, and advised well-known industrial companies. Thole is married and has three children.
