Peter Watson (Bishop)

Peter Watson (* 1936 in Sydney ) is an Anglican Australian clergyman and emeritus bishop of the Anglican Church of Australia .

Life

Watson attended Canterbury Boys' High School in Sydney. He studied theology . In 1962 he was ordained a priest. In 1989 he became Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Sydney , first for the western region, from 1993 for the southern region. From 2000 to 2005 he was the successor to Keith Rayner Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

Watson is married.
