Petey Scalzo
Petey Scalzo (* 1 August 1917 in Brooklyn , USA ; † 15. June 1993 ) was an American boxer in the featherweight .
amateur
With the amateurs he competed in the bantamweight division and won in this weight class, among other things, the gold medal at the New York Golden Gloves in 1936.
professional
On May 15, 1940 he defeated in round 6 by technical knockout Frankie Covelli and thereby captured the world championship belt of the NBA association . He lost this belt to Richie Lemos in July of the following year.
