Petr Pravec
Petr Pravec (born September 17, 1967 in Třinec ) is a Czech astronomer . He made a name for himself through the discovery of double asteroids through the use of photometry . He leads the efforts of a group of observers (BinAst) in the search for multiple bodies at NEAs and asteroids of the main belt .
So far he has found 289 asteroids (112 alone and 177 together with other astronomers). The asteroid (4790) Petrpravec is named after him.
