Petra flower

Petra Blume (* 1957 in Müllheim (Baden) ) is a German author who writes plays and prose primarily in the Low German language. She lives and works in Husum ( North Friesland ).

Live and act

Petra Blume has lived in Husum since she was four. After graduating from high school, she did an apprenticeship as a draftsman . From 1984 to 2001 she worked as a freelance editor for a weekly newspaper, currently for a forwarding company.

Already during her school days she was active in the school theater, parallel to her professional activity she was an actress at the Niederdeutsche Bühne Husum and wrote plays and skits . She took part in workshops and was a founding member and for a long time a member of the board of the "Verdener Arbeitskreis Niederdeutscher Theaterautoren eV"

In 1997 she staged the play "Allens oder nix" by Jack Popplewell as a guest director at the Niederdeutsche Bühne Itzehoe .

Almost all of Petra Blume's works have been published by the theater publisher Karl Mahnke, Verden / Aller. Exceptions are indicated.
