Petra Riedel
Petra Riedel (born September 17, 1964 in Magdeburg ) is a former swimmer who competed for the GDR .
Petra Riedel first attracted attention at the GDR age group championships in 1976 when she won four titles, including both back distances. At the GDR championships in 1980 , the swimmer from SC Magdeburg took second place behind Rica Reinisch over 100 meters back, over 200 meters back she was third behind Birgitreiber and Cornelia Polit . At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow , the back swimmers from the GDR won all six medals. Rica Reinisch won over 100 meters back in front of Ina Kleber and Petra Riedel. In 1981 Birgit Riedel took third place over 100 meters back at the GDR championships behind Cornelia Polit and Ina Kleber.
