Petri Koivisto (born November 15, 1986 in Kiiminki ) is a Finnish ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Espoo Blues in the SM-liiga since 2011 .

Career

Petri Koivisto already played in the junior division for Kärpät Oulu , for whose professional team he made his debut in the SM-liiga in the 2005/06 season . Since he was otherwise only used in the Kärpäts junior team, Koivisto gained match practice in the second-class Mestis between 2006 and 2008 , where he stood between the posts for Hokki Kajaani and TuTo Turku . The goalie then returned to Kärpät Oulu in summer 2008, where he became a regular goalkeeper. Among other things, the Finn played in all four of his team's group games in the Champions Hockey League and was runner-up with his team in the 2008/09 season.

For the season 201/12 Koivisto moved within the SM-liiga to the Espoo Blues .
