Petri Sarvamaa

Petri Sarvamaa (born September 15, 1960 in Joensuu ) is a Finnish politician ( Kansallinen Kokoomus ).

Sarvamaa worked for seven years as a reporter for the Finnish state television, Yleisradio . He ran in the 2011 parliamentary elections in the Helsinki constituency . On March 1, 2012, he moved to the European Parliament for the resigned Ville Itälä .

EU parliamentarians

Sarvamaa is in the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats).

He is a member of the Committee on Budgetary Control , the Committee on Transport and Tourism and the delegation to the EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee. He serves as a deputy on the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and on the delegation for relations with the United States.
