The Pettersenegga is a mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Conrad Mountains of Orvinfjella it rises 10 km north of Sandhø .
He was discovered and photographed from the air during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it on the basis of aerial photographs and measurements of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). It is named after Sverre O. Pettersen, who worked as a cook on the latter expedition from 1957 to 1958 .
