The Peutekanal in the Port of Hamburg connects the Norderelbe with the Müggenburger Zollhafen . The canal is 720 m long and separates the Peute from the Veddel . It is crossed by the road bridges First Peuter Bücke and Second Peuter Bridge as well as the former railway bridge of the Hamburg port railway , the Beesenlandbrücke . The Hove Canal branches off roughly in the middle of the Peutekanal .
