Palatinate Post

The Palatinate Post. Organ for the interests of the people was a social democratic party newspaper, which was founded in autumn 1895 by Franz Josef Ehrhart in Ludwigshafen am Rhein . It was one of the regional social democratic party newspapers with the distribution area Vorderpfalz and Südpfalz .

Until 1905 it appeared as the head sheet of the Social Democratic Volksstimme , Mannheim. After that it was independent until the end of the Weimar Republic and became one of the most important social democratic newspapers for the Palatinate. In March 1933 the editorial offices of the Palatinate Post in Ludwigshafen am Rhein were occupied by the National Socialists and the newspaper had to cease publication.
