Parish church Dornbirn-Schoren
The Roman Catholic parish church Dornbirn-Schoren is in sixth Dornbirn district Schoren in Dornbirn in Vorarlberg . It is consecrated to holy brother Klaus and belongs to the dean's office in Dornbirn in the diocese of Feldkirch . The building is under monument protection ( list entry ).
history
The church was built in 1962 and 1963 according to plans by Herbert Kotz . The foundation stone was laid on October 14, 1962 and the church consecrated on July 4, 1965 . In 1980, Schoren was separated from the parish of Hatlerdorf as an independent pastoral care center .

Building description
- Church exterior
The church is a central building over an elliptical floor plan with high window walls. The baptistery is attached to the central building. The church tower is free-standing.
- Church interior
The interior of the church is a unified space on the plan of an ellipse . The room is spanned by a wide ceiling with numerous lighting fixtures. The altarpiece was painted by Hubert Schmalix in 1987 and combines creation and perfection in one picture. Adam and Eve and the slain snake are shown on the left . On the right side you can see the blue paradise pillar with the "Round Dance of the Redeemed". In the center the risen Jesus was painted in a halo with wounds and oversized hands.
The concrete glass windows are one of the last great works by the Feldkirch artist Martin Häusle from 1963. On the left is the "Temptation of Brother Klaus", the "Consolation of Maria " and the scene "Brother Klaus leaves his family and goes into the security of the family of God ”. On the right side of the central room you can see “Brother Klaus with a host”. In the baptistery the scene “Brother Klaus leaves his natural family and becomes the counselor and 'father' of countless people seeking help”, in the Marienkapelle “From miracle fasting to miracle food”.
Furnishing
In the church there is a marble altar , a tabernacle column, a baptismal font and a holy water font. There is also a relic of St. Brother Klaus in the church.
