history

In 1280 a vicariate was mentioned in a document. In 1332 there was a parish. The essentially Romanesque church with a west tower and a Gothic choir is from the 13th century. In 1739 three altars were consecrated. Until 1804 the church was surrounded by a cemetery. 1955 was a restoration.

architecture

The square west tower with arched sound windows and a pyramid helmet - Romanesque in the core - was raised again in 1845 after a fire around 1800. The simple three-bay nave with arched windows was given buttresses with the new vaulting from 1575. The retracted two-bay Gothic choir has a three-eighth end and is structurally connected in the east to the rectory, which was renovated around 1800. The church building has thin, triangular struts and partly preserved two-lane tracery windows from the beginning of the 16th century and a later arched window on the north side. On the south side of the choir is a sacristy that has been modified in Baroque style. On the north side the church shows four painted coats of arms under the cornice.
