The Roman Catholic parish church Hinterstoder is located in the municipality of Hinterstoder in the Kirchdorf an der Krems district in Upper Austria . It is the hard Exaltation consecrated and belongs to the deanery Windischgarsten in the Diocese of Linz . The building is a listed building .

history

The church was built between 1784 and 1787.

The church is a late baroque hall church. On the west side is a roof turret with a late baroque hood .

Church interior

There is a flat ceiling in the hall-shaped nave, and a flat hanging dome in the square choir. The choir closes in a semicircle. The wall and ceiling frescoes date from the time of construction and were uncovered and restored in 1956.

Furnishing

The high altar was built around 1740, the side altar around 1700. The pulpit was also created around 1740. There are two paintings in the nave. One shows "St. Otto von Bamberg in front of St. Mary " and one shows the "sending out of the apostles". Both were painted by Bernhard Schmidt in 1756. These were the former altarpieces of the collegiate church Spital am Pyhrn . They were restored on the occasion of the handover in 1957 and 1958.
