The parish church of Klagenfurt-St. Hemma is on Feldkirchner Strasse in the St. Veiter suburb of the municipality of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee in Carinthia . The Roman Catholic parish church , consecrated to St. Hemma von Gurk , belongs to the dean's office of Klagenfurt-Stadt in the diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

The parish church with a community center was built in 1970 according to the plans of the architect Hermann Kompolschek and consecrated in 1972. The bell tower was built in 1998/1999.

architecture

The strictly cubic central building with a shed roof over a square floor plan with beveled corners shows up inside and outside with exposed concrete walls. To the west is the sacristy extension, to the east the church is connected to the rectory.
