The church was first mentioned in 1262. A later, essentially late Gothic church was redesigned in Baroque style at the beginning of the 18th century . In 1891 she was raised to the parish of Voldöpp and renamed in 1961 to Kramsach parish . Renovations took place in the 19th century and 1954.

architecture

The outside of the church is simply designed with a surrounding plinth. A coat of arms of the miners with mallets and iron is carved on the base. The windows are ogival on the outside and rounded on the inside. A late Gothic window on the east side dates from around 1480. The portal in the south has an ogival reveal. The former north tower was demolished and a gothic west tower was introduced in 1859. On the first floor of the tower there is the vestibule, on the bell floor there are ogival sound openings, above which a gable-pointed helmet. The two-storey sacristy is built on the south side of the choir. It has a portal with the year 1715.

The four-bay nave, structured with pilasters, is vaulted with a flat barrel with lance caps. Behind a round-arched triumphal arch is a strongly drawn-in single-bay choir with a 3/8 end. The core of the choir is Gothic with a vault over Gothic pillars and console services. The baroque west gallery stands on marble columns and shows stucco and paintings in medallions from a renovation in 1954.

Furnishing

The high altar from the first quarter of the 18th century has sacrificial portals . In the center it bears the figures of Nikolaus attributed to the sculptor Jakob Mayr, flanked by Joachim and Anna. The left side altar around 1680 shows the altarpiece Mariahilf and the painful Maria under a tabernacle canopy. The right side altar bears a statue of Johannes Nepomuk around 1700.

The pulpit is from the third quarter of the 18th century. There is a crucifixion group from the end of the 17th century. The popular station pictures were created around 1800.

The organ was built by the Mauracher brothers in 1896 .
