history

A church was first mentioned in a document in 1165. Between 1930 and 1932 the interior was completely renewed.

Church building

Church exterior

The west tower with a wedge roof was built in 1463. The portals are late Gothic: the profiled south portal has a vaulted porch, the north portal forms a cloverleaf arch.

Church interior

The spacious nave was completely renewed in 1930 and 1931. The three-bay nave is vaulted with mesh ribs . In the two eastern bays the church forms a two-aisled hall church (one column room). The western yoke has three aisles. It is almost completely taken up by the two-axis organ loft, which is supported by a four-axis, ribbed vaulted hall. The late Gothic choir of the church has moved in opposite the nave and ends in the 3/8 end. It is vaulted with a net rib.

Furnishing

Since the renovation in the early 1930s, jewelry has been reduced to what is required. The main emphasis is on the high altar fresco, the stations of the Cross painted on the wall and the glass paintings. On the south wall of the nave is a strip of late Gothic mural painting showing the fourteen helpers in need. On the north wall of the nave is a painted late Gothic cross of the Apostles in delicate shapes. The holy water basin, which used to stand at the south portal of the church and is now in the front area - on the right side of the chancel - dates from 1669. On the outside of the choir is a carved wooden crucified from the beginning of the 18th century.
