Parish church of Laussa

The Roman Catholic parish church Laussa is located in the center of the municipality Laussa in the district of Steyr-Land in Upper Austria . It is consecrated to the feast of the Assumption of Mary and, together with the parishes of Losenstein , Reichraming and Ternberg, forms the Ternberg Pastoral Care Association in the Weyer deanery . The church is a listed building .

history

The Laussa parish was first mentioned in a document in 1300. The current church was built between 1839 and 1843 and expanded in 1869.

Church building

The church consists of a single nave and four bay nave with a stitch cap vault . The choir is closed with two bays and a semicircle, also with a stitch cap vault. In the southern corner of the choir is the church tower with a dome.

Furnishing

The furniture was made in baroque style. A baroque wooden crucifix from the third quarter of the 18th century hangs in the nave.
