The Roman Catholic parish church of Lenzing is located in Lenzing in the market town of Lenzing in the Vöcklabruck district in Upper Austria . The church, consecrated to the Holy Spirit , belongs to the Deanery Schörfling in the Diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

history

On March 16, 1959, a new church building was started according to the plans of the architect Hans Aigner . On September 6, 1959, the foundation stone was consecrated with Bishop Franz Zauner . The topping-out ceremony was held on December 11, 1959. On November 19 and 20, 1960, the tower cross was placed and the bells consecrated. On September 30, 1962, the church was consecrated with Bishop Franz Zauner. In 1974 the Marienkapelle was transformed into a baptistery. The gate of the main portal was consecrated on June 5, 1981.

Furnishing

On June 2, 1973 the Lenzing Cross was consecrated with Bishop Alois Wagner .

The organ was consecrated on March 26, 1988.
