The parish church of Mendling zu Lassing stands in the middle of Kirchweiler Lassing in the market town of Göstling an der Ybbs in the Scheibbs district in Lower Austria . The patronage of St. Laurentius of Rome subordinate Roman Catholic parish church belongs to the deanery Waidhofen an der Ybbs of the diocese of St. Pölten . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

In 1786 the parish of Mendling zu Lassing was founded. The church was built from 1786 to 1788. There was a fire in 1896. In 1900 the church was restored and the tower was built in place of a roof turret.

architecture

The Josephinische Saalbau with a retracted choir has the tower presented on the left on the western front.

Furnishing

The high altar as a marble columned retable from the second quarter of the 18th century was transferred here as a former side altar of the Kartäuserkirche Gaming in 1784; Laurentius von Josef Kreszler 1886, he carries the statues Peter and Paul around 1500, renovated in 1788.

Franz Strommer built the organ around 1900.
