The Roman Catholic parish church Nassereith stands on the northern edge of the town of Nassereith in the Imst district in Tyrol. The parish church of the Holy Three Kings is part of the Imst deanery in the Innsbruck diocese . The church is a listed building . The festive service for the patronage takes place on the morning of January 6th with a sacramental blessing at the village crib. The procession will then be rescheduled on the 2nd Sunday in September, when the Gospel of the Wise Men from the Orient is preached by the Epiphany Chapel.

history

The church was mentioned in a document in 1431. In 1698 the church was consecrated. From 1846 to 1847 a new church was built according to the plans of the architect and sculptor Josef Falbesoner. The late Gothic pilgrimage church of St. Nikolaus in Dormitz is older.

Nave to the choir

The church building has a three-aisled nave and additions to the choir to the north and south. The sides of the nave have two-tiered buttresses and a surrounding coffin cornice. In the west are arched aisle portals. The choir and the vestibule have the width of the central nave. The baroque north tower has corner pilasters, arched sound windows, and an octagonal storey above blown gables with an onion helmet and a lantern. The open vestibule has set pillars with beams and lunette and a gable facade with twin windows and protects the rectangular stone portal.

The three-aisled, three-bay nave has transversely oval central nave bays and longitudinally oval side aisle bays. The central nave and the choir are vaulted with a barrel with stitch caps, the side aisles have groin vaults. The vaults rest on round pillars with capitals with palmettes. The west gallery is two-story and rests in three axes on pillar arcades on the ground floor. Behind the round arched triumphal arch, the choir closes with a 3/8 end. The nave and choir have a surrounding coffin cornice.

Furnishing

Immaculata in Nassereith by Falbesoner

The romantic-historic interior with Biedermeier elements was created in the middle of the 19th century. The high altar shows the picture of the Three Kings by the painter Kaspar Jele or a crucifix by Josef Falbesoner and the statues Jakobus 'and Christophorus' from around 1760 by Martin Falbesoner . The left side altar shows the Holy Family. The right side altar shows the picture Walk of the Holy Family to Nazareth. The life-size figure Maria Immaculata was created by Martin Falbesoner in the fourth quarter of the 18th century. The pulpit, the confessionals and four figure shrines are from the mid-19th century. The holy grave was created by the painter Joseph Bartinger (1861).

The late Gothic baptismal font is marked with 1507 and a coat of arms.

The organ case was built by Mathias Mauracher in 1850 . The organ was built in 1902 by Franz (II) Reinisch . A bell was cast in 1703.
